We had our daughter's birthday party here this past February and it was perfect! The room was clean and ready when we got there and Laura took care of us from beginning all the way til after everyone left. She helped keep the kids entertained and played games with them the entire time-the kids really loved her. I cant say enough nice things about how they handled our event.

This class has been one of the best experiences ever. It is designed for those of us who really don't like to exercise. There are no expectations beyond your own to be better than you are right now. This is the best thing I have done for myself-I will continue doing this for my body.

I flash my membership card to get the click and green light. "hi", how are you? I hurry up the stairs - the room door is open. "hi-welcome, there's still room". I find a spot, unroll my mat, get a chair, roller and foam block. The instructor goes around the room to say each of our names, no matter if there is 16 or 24 of us. The sense of peace develops with each gentle move and position. Each position is carefully described and coached. How did she know my shoulders were up by my ears? I drop them down and feel immediate change and relief. Concern and safety for each person helps me move forward and try harder. It ends with a brief relaxing moment.

This is a wonderful class. It is for all levels, adult ages, sizes and genders. If you've never done yoga it is a great place to start! I love this class!

During each silver yoga class I use every muscle and joint in my body while flexing, stretching and twisting. Even though I am near the end of my eighth decade in life, I've not found any yoga position difficult. The poses help me stay better balanced, regain energy and keep my spine and joints flexible.

BP is an energetic, action packed, teeth grinding hour that I look forward to every week! For me, it is the most efficient use of my time- working all major muscle groups. Not only are we dripping with sweat, we are listening to fun music. Thanks for kicking my butt every class!

I'm 72 and I have enjoyed pilates for several years. It has helped in many ways: first, it is motivating-gets me up and out of the house for exercise. Second, the class itself is invigorating, challenging and has helped strengthen my muscles and core. I've noticed since doing pilates, my posture has improved and I haven't shrunk as much! It has helped my overall health and well-being.

Tai chi is great! Aaron is very good and intune with peoples individual abilities. He will take you only as far as you want to go. I go to all 4 classes and wish they were more!

This class is a new generation version of interval training. All in one- strength, cardio and core with instructor guided modifications if needed. Great music and this class will make you sweat at whatever level you are.

Part step, part sport training with abs and light weight lifting and sculpting. It is heavy on cardio with the option to adapt the exercises to accommodate one's fitness level with moves that are easy to follow. It keeps my heart rate up the whole time!

I've been married for almost 30 years and have three children and six grandchildren> My grand babies are the reason for my being here at the Mt. Hood Athletic Club. They're very young and active, and I need to keep up with them as they grow. My husband and youngest son are also very active. They live to ski and hike, so I want to keep up with them as well. I love working with my personal trainer. She helps me work towards my fitness goals. I also really enjoy the classes offered at the club and the wonderful instructors make it so much gun.
I love that the club has so many community events. I love to participate and volunteer. I guess I just love being here.

I was ready to move my exercise from water to weight bearing activities, after many years of physical limitations due to a chronic illness. Working with a personal trainer was the best decision I could have made. By combining strength training, Tai Chi and aerobic activities, I consistently pushed toward my goals. by listening ti my body, my trainer and I were able to increase my strength, cardio-capacity, balance and flexibility. I feel healthier and happier about my body fitness than I have for 20 years.

I have worked out at other clubs and without question, this club in Sandy is the best. It is always clean, locker rooms are clean, equipment looks new and is spaced well. There is always lots of room to park. There is a gym, handball, pool, steamroom and they hold all types of classes for young and the elderly. The people who work here are always cheerful and helpful!

There are a number of factors that set this club apart from others my husband and I have belonged to. First, the kindness and knowledge of the staff is unsurpassed. Second, the facility is clean and organized. We have been impressed by some of the innovative equipment and services offered here that we were never offered or had access to at other clubs. My trainer here demonstrated and provided expertise on safe exercise practices for me during my pregnancy and made revisions to fit my individual needs!
